I was privately contacted in May by a person who is Catholic who has an SDA as a spouse. They reached out to me and said that I could use their email, but then I saw no email on their comment. I have not figured out yet how to contact them. Please contact me with your email and I will not publish it. I know this is late, but I haven't been on this particular blog since Covid started. So much about Adventism has been misrepresented by the so-called former Adventists. I think that these former Adventists didn't quite understand what Adventism was about. Recall that the disciples, despite having spent time with Christ, thought that Messiah would establish an earthly kingdom. It was not until after the resurrection and Pentecost that the disciples really fully grasped Christ's mission.
The Adventist church has had issues such as abortion. But, there is a reckoning and a return to the Biblical principles. Similarly, the Catholic church is also going through its reckoning with sexual assault and child molestation. These actions by some church members should not be a blanket condemnation for an entire group of believers.
I will keep praying for you to receive discernment from the Holy Spirit.
