Teresa Beem: Adventist for almost forty years. Published articles in Spectrum, Adventist Review and others. Loved being an Adventist most of the time until I began studying the Bible in depth. Wow. That was a shocker. Found out so many of their unique doctrines were not from Bible but early SDA pioneers. Decided, like Doug Batchelor encourages us, to be a Bible Christian.
