He's fun to listen to because of his accent and quirkiness, but.... well, the content is... Adventist. I have done a couple reviews of Babylon Rising which "starred" Bradshaw if you want to look around on this site....

I haven't heard of the "Green Cord" book but I have read about the dream and thought it was weird. So, perhaps some clever SDA theologian took that dream and created some parable that would just repackage the whole Great Controversy prophecy. My guess it is just a new twist... on heresy.

Adventists believe that Ellen was a messenger from God and therefore everything she did and every dream and vision was and is subject to extreme analysis by her followers as a direct connection to God.

Since you have SDA parents, you should understand how indoctrinated anyone can be inside of this strange sect. The pull into Adventism and its elitism and apocalyptic readiness is very exciting to some. The idea that ALL Christians history in the last days will zero itself onto your little group is magnetic to some people--the intrigue, the spotlight, the drama of persecution. Well, it makes for an interesting life....Teresa Beemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11912526855851742840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9194750015669984785.post-19432968172519253862012-07-03T00:50:28.514-04:002012-07-03T00:50:28.514-04:00Question for T.B.

Perhaps he has taken the place of someone else on 'It Is Written'? Anyhoo, my question is on a book I saw on their pile of book's from the ABC book store.

Growing up attending SDA school's and hearing many teaching's and stories by or about E.G.W. this particular story I've not ever heard of. The book is by author Alex Bryan, someone I'm not familiar with at all, and named 'The Green Cord Dream'.

Did the foundress of the S.D.A. church have a dream about a green cord? If so, what ever for? And why do Adventists' put so much on her dream's? A dream is just a dream...nothing more.

Hope you can shed some light on this for me,

Damien H.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
